Life is simply hectic these days. Between work, family, and trying to squeeze in some me time/self-care/relaxation, it can be tough to keep up. But there's one thing that always gets me through: coffee. I seriously love the smell of a good cup of joe, and it gives me the boost I need to tackle the day.
Of course, I also know that sleep is essential. But sometimes, when you're running through a busy schedule, it can be hard to get enough shut-eye. So, on those days when I'm feeling particularly tired, I might just indulge in a little extra coffee (and maybe even skip a nap/power nap/quick snooze).
No criticism here – we all have our habits/guilty pleasures. And for me, it's a warm mug of coffee and the promise of a productive day/getting things done/accomplishing my goals.

My Alternative Therapist is a French Press
When life gets chaotic, and the usual anxiety relief methods aren't sufficient, I turn to my unconventional source of comfort: a trusty coffee maker. This ritualistic process of grinding beans, pouring hot water, and patiently steeping for the perfect cup becomes my moment of clarity. Each glug carries with it a feeling of calm, grounding me in the present moment.
- Occasionally, I even experience deep thought as I observe the cycle of the steeping process.
- Occasionally, it's simply a enjoyable break from the hustle and bustle.
So, while I may frequently seek out a mental health professional, my coffee maker remains a consistent companion through life's challenges.
